Bharat Gaurav Asha Sharma

Asha Sharma was educated at Material Science & Engineering ( Indian Institute of Technology) in India. If there has to be one class of professionals the whole of the world has to be grateful for, then it undoubtedly has to be engineers for there is no aspect of our lives that has not to be made easier or better by these professionals.

She received her PhD in Materials and Metallurgical

Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India in 2006.

She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, from 2006–2008 in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Following that, she worked at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, from 2009–2011 as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Microsystems Laboratory, focused her research on fully integrated wireless neural interfaces. She then worked as a Research Engineer-II at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. She is currently working as a Principal Engineer

at Global Foundries in Advanced Module Engineering in Malta, NY. Her interests are in the application of organic electronics and photonics to biology and medicine for the next generation of biocompatible, low cost, and clean-environment healthcare technologies, rectenna devices, and, processing and testing of semiconductor devices. She was the recipient of the European Material Society Young Scientist Award in her early career.
