Bharat Gaurav Dr. Ajai Agarwal — PR Expert
Dr. Ajai Kumar Agarwal, a veteran, having experience of more than four decades in the field of Public Relations, is the National President of the International Chamber of Public Relations and Vice Chairman & Administrative Head of the World Communicators Council. He is of the opinion that ‘Actions speak louder than words’ and his aim is not to die unheard.
Born in Tilhar, Shahjahanpur district in Uttar Pradesh, he was initially educated at Bareilly and attained his degrees of B.Sc, LLB, PG Diploma in PR, MS-PR, and Ph.D. from various universities.

Dr. Ajai is the former national president of the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) and headed Corporate Communications of the Central Bank of India before retirement and later headed Corporate Relations of the CBSL group of companies.
Presently he is an Advisor to the SME Chamber of India for the States of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh, Dakshin Bhartiya Agarwal Samaj for South India, Jan Urja Manch Hyderabad, and Eco Bharat Foundation.
Associated with many social and cultural organizations, Dr. Ajai is the Telangana State Vice President of Friends of Tribal Society (Ekal Vidyalaya), CSR Committee Chairman of FTS for South India, and Vice President, of International Vaish Federation, besides serving on the Board of Directors of five Private Sector Companies. He was earlier President of Agarwal Samiti Shahjahanpur, Vice President of Agarwal Samaj Telangana State President of Osmania Junior Chamber, PR Club, PRCI Hyderabad Chapter & District Secretary LEO.
Dr. Ajai Kumar Agarwal is a prolific writer and regular contributor to various newspapers and magazines. He has delivered many Radio talks, regularly appears on National TV Channels as a panelist, and has been interviewed by almost all national TV news Channels, newspapers & magazines.
Doordarshan has recorded and relayed an hour-long interview on How to Be Successful by Using Public Relations as a Tool. He has also moderated International Symposiums on “Media, Message & Measurement.”
His association with media goes long back as during his college days he was a correspondent of seven newspapers and wrote extensively on socio-politico issues. Presently he is the Chairman of the Governing Board of Mumbai-based leading media house Scintilla Communications LLP, which brings out Indian Economy and Market, and other prestigious magazines.
Dr. Ajai is the author of the best-seller book “PR-A Tool For Success” and has been the counselor at Dr. BR Ambedkar Open University, a Visiting Guest Faculty at Osmania University, Rajasthan University, Dr. D.Y. Patil International University Pune, Agra University, and a prominent speaker at Rotary club, Lions Club, Jaycees, BHEL, BDL, etc.
On the topic of Public Relations & Media, he has coached IAS officers from 26 States in MCR HRD Institute, and officers of Banking Institutions, Ministry of Information & Public Relations, SBI RD Institute & SBI Learning Centre Hyderabad besides CEOs of many companies. He was also invited as a keynote speaker at an international conference on Media, Politics & Democracy in Rome and to give a lecture at Luiss University Rome on Crisis Communication.
Dr. Ajai was married to Madhu Agarwal, whose untimely demise shook him immensely but as Jack Thorne says, “those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death cannot touch,” he immersed all his attention towards their loving son Ketan and daughter Kriti. Ketan is running a chain of restaurants Fat Pigeons and Chubby Cho both rated amongst the top favorites of millennials and Generation Z by Times. Kriti is a professional based in Dubai.
Dr. Ajai gives all the credit for his success to his family members who have been pillars of strength right from his grandparents late Shri Jwala Prasad & Mrs. Vidya Devi, his parents late Shri Mithlesh Kumar Agarwal and Satyabhama Agarwal, his brother Vijay Agarwal, sisters late Rekha Agarwal, Reeta Agarwal and Seema Agarwal, brother-in-laws BC Agarwal, Rajnish Kumar and Dr. Rakesh Agarwal.
Dr. Ajai is passionate about hockey and Kho Kho. He was a UP State Hockey player and qualified Hockey Umpire and University Captain of the Kho Kho team having only recently hung his boots.
Widely traveled over 20 countries, Dr. Ajai Kumar Agarwal has recently been blessed with a grandson Kiaan. He now enjoys spending time with Kiaan, his son Ketan, his daughter-in-law Sirisha, and his large extended family and friends.
